After last year’s dismal record, the Frisco High School varsity football team did an amazing job at improving the record. The recent loss to the Denison Yellow Jackets has not kept the Raccoons from working hard for a spot in the playoffs this season.

“We worked for it in the off- season,” said Junior Defensive End Kamari Wilkerson. “Going 0 and ten was not good for us so we wanted to reverse that. We’ve started doing that.”

“Compared to last year,” said kicker Jake Gaster, “it’s been a successful season. We still have a lot of work to do and we have things to improve.”

After losing to the Denison Yellow Jackets, there has been some concern about playoff chances for the Racoons. “I think we have a good chance of having a good run,” added Gaster, “if we play how we know how to play.”

The Raccoons still have two more games on the schedule. They play the Memorial Warriors on Friday, November 2nd at the Star and the Lovejoy Leopards on November 9th in Lovejoy.
